This page explains how the public MyFoodMap website at myfoodmap.com.au works. The mobile app is a separate product and may collect different information.
What this website collects
The marketing site is designed to explain the product and help people download the app. We do not run accounts, restaurant databases, or advertising pixels on this website in V1.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, we may record high-level events such as page views, download button clicks, store badge clicks, share actions and QR code views. We use an analytics abstraction so vendor code is not scattered through the site. No analytics vendor is loaded unless a site operator configures one.
Cookies
If you open a personal invite or join link, the site may store a first-party referral cookie so a later app install can be connected to that invite. The cookie is not used for advertising and is not sold.
Device detection
Download buttons may send iPhone and iPad visitors toward the App Store and Android visitors toward Google Play. This uses the browser user-agent only. We do not fingerprint devices.
Referral links
Links such as /join/yourname and /invite/abc123 exist so friends can share MyFoodMap. They do not require an account on the website.
